This policy explains how TakeHome Online handles information when you use this website. TakeHome Online is a small website operated by an individual (sole trader) based in the United Kingdom. For any privacy question, email hello@takehomeonline.co.uk.

The short version

Our calculators run entirely in your browser. The salary figures and other numbers you type are used only to display your results on your device — they are not sent to us, and we do not store them.

Information we may process

We may process a limited amount of information: technical data such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, recorded automatically in standard server logs by our hosting provider; anonymous or aggregated usage analytics, if analytics are enabled; your cookie or consent choices; and any information you choose to send us by email, such as your name, email address and the content of your message.

Hosting and third parties

This website is hosted by Netlify, which may process technical data (for example IP addresses in server logs) to deliver and secure the site. Exchange rates shown in the Global Salary Comparator are retrieved from a third-party rates provider when the page loads; this involves a standard web request from your browser. We do not sell your personal information.

We aim to use only what is necessary for the site to work and to understand general usage. See our cookies page for detail. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Lawful basis and retention

Where we process personal data we rely on our legitimate interest in operating and improving the site, and on your consent where required (for example for non-essential analytics). Emails you send are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up.

Under UK data-protection law you may have the right to access, correct or erase personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to data portability.
